Residence in Rural Location, Wiltshire

Remarkable contemporary residence emerging from the hillside, located in the heart of the Wiltshire countryside.

Due to the rural location the house has been sensitively designed to work with the varying site levels and nestle seamlessly into the landscape. The external finishes have been carefully chosen to ensure that the proposed design is in keeping with the nearby rural village, as well as reflecting the beautiful surrounding landscape in the use of natural materials. The use of flint stone on the exterior reflects nearby historic architecture, whilst the sedum roof, and the use of timber, allow the proposed design to merge into the surrounding landscape.

The internal layout features a stunning entrance hall with feature spiral staircase and views over the infinity pool on the lower floor. The use of glass walls / doors internally creates a light environment and adds to the spacious feel of the proposed design. Despite it’s contemporary nature, the design enables modern living in an idyllic natural setting. Working in harmony with the site topography, the form and external finishes reflect the surroundings and respect the rural location.
